The concept of liquid democracy describes a form of collective decision-making, which combines elements of direct democracy and representative democracy. This allows citizens to either vote on issues directly, or to delegate their voting power to a trusted person or party rather than having to rely on politicians to do so on their behalf.
A decentralized autonomous organization, or DAO, is an organization that’s governed by code instead of leaders. Decisions made within the DAO are voted on by the human participants.
A blockchain is a decentralized, distributed and public digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers in a way that makes it impossible to alterate, hack, manipulate or simply cheat the results.
The mission is to create a new system that is of the people, by the people, and for the people. A system that serves the interests of Canadians. In doing so we can remove the influence or foreign multinational powers from the top of this decision-making pyramid and put the people back in charge of our country, our resources, and our wealth.
When the few rules, the people perish, and when the people cooperate, the people flourish. Our opportunity is now. By utilizing decentralized technology like DAOs, which afford us a code-based structure, auditable structure, and an accountable structure governed by the people, where decisions are proposed by the people, businesses, and groups.
Participants can make proposals to the system, but ultimately, it’s the people of Canada who are the voters of the system and can cast their vote into this system.
This is our opportunity.
